ABOUT

A Lincoln, Nebraska native, Christian started their life long career in Theatre studying at Lincoln High School under the direction of Patsy Koch-Johns. It is there that they received a High Level Certificate in Theatre from the International Baccalaureate Program. They would continue their education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying acting, directing, and theatre management. In 2016 they received a BA in Theatre with an emphasis in Performance from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film.

Christian worked as a writer and performer with Red Theater Lincoln from 2011 until 2016 serving as the company's Artistic Director for the 2014 and 2015 Seasons directing four devised productions (Polarized, Warriors, Relentless, Awake) in a bi-annual series of 30 plays in 60 minutes inspired by Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind created by The Neo-Futurists of Chicago. Christian also directed the premiere of Tender Rough Rough Tender by Sarah Saltwick as a staged reading in conjunction with Red Theater Chicago and Purchase for the 2014 Red Theater Script Competition. While serving as Artistic Director they were able to institute a pay what you can ticketing program under the philosophy that money should never be a barrier to art. Since the implementation of this policy Red Theater Lincoln has continued to exist solely on at will donations made by audience members.

  In 2017, Christian started working with The Haymarket Theatre as an assistant director and stage manager for the company's youth program with Artistic Director Thomas Crew. They later accepted the position of Managing Director and Head of Youth Programing in 2019. His credits working with the company include directing and producing The Addams Family Musical School Edition, Willy Wonka Jr, Aladdin Jr, Kung Fu Hamlet, and Alice in Wonderland. Christian also directed the Haymarket Theatre's final mainstage production (The Aliens) at their original home of 803 Q Street continuing to work with the company until March 2020 when the company dissolved due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Christian continues to work in the Lincoln area as a freelance actor and director working on various projects with OmniArts Nebraska, Angels Theatre Co, Flatwater Shakespeare, Lincoln Community Playhouse, and Nebraska Communities Playhouse. Christian has also appeared as a featured actor in a regional commercial for Liberty First Credit Union.

When they are not pretending to be someone else or telling people where to stand, Christian spends their time screen printing T-shirts for Shirts 101. He also enjoys skateboarding, Turntablism, designing AV Art, and spending quality time with his dogs.
